Yosemite, a place for adventure!

The view as we approached the park

We spent labor day weekend in the beautiful Yosemite National Park. I had never been, but it was quite the adventure! We camped in tents, roasted marshmallows over the fire, and had one heck of a time. We went on a horse & carriage buggy ride, climbed to the top of a dome and looked waayyyyyyy down into the valley, caught the sunset, and a beautiful view of the stars. It was a trip to remember.

Living History: The Pioneers

For our first full day of activities, we spent time in Wawona, and the Pioneer Yosemite History Center. It was rather dusty, and everyone spent a lot of time paying attention to things OTHER THAN ME, which as you can imagine, upset me greatly. There were horses, a blacksmith, and lots of authentic stuff to see. We even went on a horse & carriage ride with what appeared to be a real live pioneer! Really, I think he just needed a shower and a shave.

Our ride for the day

Sentinel Dome

For the evening of our first day, we scaled Sentinel Dome to see a beautiful sunset. The hoomans huffed and puffed, but I went straight to the top and waited. The view was stunning! We Facetimed Grandma, and I'm pretty sure she had a heart attack.

The Valley

We spent our last full day in the Yosemite Valley. The traffic was a nightmare (for the hoomans), so I checked out the sights wile they checked out the bumpers.

Thanks for the fun, Yosemite!

It's been real! I'm looking forward to coming back again some day! Thanks for the memories.
